Updated 23 March
In response to the government’s directive to limit mass gatherings due to Coronavirus, the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames has cancelled all events and group activities on council-owned land until further notice. This means that Ham Fair cannot take place on Saturday 13 June.
Our hope is that Ham Fair can be held at a later date this year and, with that aim, we have asked Richmond Council if we can pencil in a mid-September date instead. We are waiting for their response.
All the fun of Ham Fair
Held on Ham Common every year, this traditional village fair boasts a wide variety of stalls, entertainment provided by local schools and other groups, food and drink, a play zone for children and much more.
There is a varied programme of music and dancing provided by professional musicians and local schools. In 2019 this included Capital Chorus; Richmond Brass Band; Five Day Weekend; Richmond Youth Jazz Band.
Ham Fair provides a great day of fun and entertainment for all the family! Come along and have a great time.
Have a look at the Ham Fair Gallery to see what make the Fair such fun.
Coronavirus – plans are progressing for Ham Fair as usual, however we are keeping abreast of government and Council guidelines so should the situation change and we are advised that the event has to be cancelled or postponed we will update this website and email stall-holders and suppliers. Should the event have to be cancelled stall refunds will be made available (less £2 admin charge for registered charities and £10 for all others).
In the meantime though the Ham Fair committee are working towards providing a successful and happy Ham Fair as in previous years.
The companion dog show is held in the performance area in the centre of Ham Fair and the entries to the other competitions will be on display in the Craft Marquee.
You can find the details of each of the competitions, including how to enter, by following the links to each one above.

Helping out on the day
If you can spare a little time on the day you can help us to ensure this well-loved community event runs smoothly.
There are plenty of tasks that people of all ages can help with such as directing stallholders to their positions, keeping Ham Common clear of litter, and general stewarding.
If you are interested in helping then please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details. All help will be gratefully received
